I Have My Mother's "Jeans".

Hello Beauties!

Hope you all have been able to discover some lovely looks while playing dress up in your closets these past few days. This week, I am posting for those of you who enjoy a look that is fashionably funky.
This week I am very excited to show you two ways to wear a very easy to find "hand me down" item. (RR-Embrace Secondhand). Anything high waisted is one of my favorite looks for this year. Fortunately, most of you probably have a lady in your life who owns a pair of "Mom" Jeans. If you don't, no need to fret, they are very easy to find at your local thrift store. Look for a pair of high waisted jeans in any color. If they happen to have a wide leg cut, here is a quick trick to help give them more of a modern feel.

Step 1: Put on a standard pair of jeans with a wide leg cut.
Step 2: In the back, tightly gather the bottom of the jeans and tie a hair tie or rubber band around the bunch you have created.
Step 3: Roll the jeans up over the hair tie/rubber band.
            Yay! Your look is finished.

2WBT1: Mom Jeans.

1.

Here, I rolled my jeans as earlier demonstrated.  By wearing a unique item such as Mom jeans, you are taking a fashion risk. To add purpose to your statement, be sure to wear colors and pieces that are cohesive. To get this particular look, tuck in a lace blouse, rock some pearls, and add a wide, woven belt. Mom Jeans are an item that look best with a heel in order to give your legs length and femininity. Finding a unique accessory to add to your ensamble gives you an extra boost of style and confidence. I finished my outfit off with a pair of vintage inspired sunglasses to complete my bold statement.

With this, I decided to style a look that is sure to stand out. I have taken the opportunity to display the high waist of my Mom Jeans by tucking in a button down blouse and adding a black elastic belt. Designing and adding accessories that are one of a kind will display intention for a fashionably far-out feel. For this outfit, I have included handmade suspenders (+a), and a handmade bow wrap-around headband (+a). Adding platform wedges in a cohesive color will modernize the look and create a perfect combination of funk and flirtation.

The most important tip to remember when wearing Mom Jeans is to wear them with confidence. They are a unique item that aren't for everyone. However, if you want to be bold in fashion, go for it! Standing out is so much more fun. ;)

Stay Lovely,
Chandra.tcs

Seasons come and go, but fashion is forever.

Hello Fans of Fashion, Hope all is well in the world of dress-up. For my first fashion post, I was inspired by my 2WBT1  label. However, with the item I chose, I couldn't stop at only two. Blazers are the perfect piece to use year round and are generally fairly easy to find secondhand if you don't already own one. My mustard, sweater blazer is one of my favorite items in my closet and the possibilites for it are endless. Because blazers are such a versatile item, I have decided to show you ways that you can incorporate yours into your look all year long. This week, 4WBT1 because a blazer is the most stellar way to celebrate each of the four seasons. Spring: Spring is a great time to pull out a mini, but wearing one can leave you feeling chilly in breezy weather. Adding a blazer, allows you to bring out the "sunny weather" items you have been waiting to wear all winter long, while maintaining your warmth on those windy, spring days. With this look, I am w...

Denim '4' Days: The Button Down

Hello Beauties! It is time to bring out your denim, folks! This week, I am excited to start a new series for my blog..."Denim '4' Days." Denim is timeless and is one of the easiest items to style using a 2WBT1 label. Most of you probably own a variety of denim. If you are looking for ways to reuse and adorn these pieces, this series is for you. Dress it up. Dress it down. At the office. On the town. Here are 4 ways to wear your denim. The Button Down: Denim button downs are everywhere right now, making them the perfect item in which to kick off my "Denim '4' Days" series. I was able to find this denim shirt at a thrift store ( RR-Embrace Secondhand ).  Denim has yet to fade out of style and I am quite certain it never will which makes thrifting for denim inexpensive, easy and fun. Day 1: For my first look, I chose to give my denim a dressed up feel by throwing it over the top of my favorite LBD (Little Black Dress). Becaus...

Welcome Friends of Fashion.

Hello to All. My name is Chandra. I am a lover of music, fashion, tea, animals, our earth, designing accessories, family and mostly, love. I enjoy collecting tea pots, craft supplies, Compact Discs, nail polish and above all clothing. I have started this blog to focus on just that...clothing. Thanks to my beautiful mother, fashion has been my friend since I can remember. I first fell in love with it as a young girl when I was able to stylize my very first outfit complete with rain boots, ruffled socks, polka dot leggings, a character shirt, and an incorrectly buttoned up rain jacket. And still, as a woman in my mid- twenties, I simply cannot get enough of it. This blog is meant for those of you, who like me, happen to be a buyer on a budget, earth friendly, and/or simply have a passion for the world of fashion. As a lover of the earth, a finder of great deals, and a designer of fashion accessories, I plan to show you ways to recycle and enhance items in your closet while spending lit...
