Hello Friends of Fashion!
It has been far too long. Hope you all have enjoyed these past few weeks and have been able to add summer enhancements to your closets without breaking the bank. For me, this past month has been filled with summer events that have kept me away for a while. Unfortunately, plans for a busy August will most likely continue to keep me away. However, it will be an excellent month filled with party planning, weddings, and concerts.
As I may be MIA for most of the upcoming month, I felt I should leave you with a taste of what is to come later this year... This post is a preview for those of you who are, what I like to call, "Shoe-a-holics." ;)
Sometimes, I find shoes at thrift stores that seem as though they just need a splash of personal adornment. Other times, shoes that I already own begin to seem repetitive and just need a bit of upgrading. Often times, I simply crave a shoe that offers a unique style and a touch of personality. Being a lover of crafts and fashion, it was fun and easy to discover new ways to fancy up my feet and I am eager to share them with you!
I invite you to "step" in to the magic of sprucing up your shoes.
Step 1: Find a pair of simple shoes. Look in your closet, at thrift shops, or in the clearance section of your favorite store. Anything simple will work: Flats, Wedges, Stilettos, Sandals, etc.
Step 2: Add details with ribbon, buttons, fabric flowers, fabric scraps, feathers, bows, etc. Create looks that are unique and that represent your personal style. The possibilities are endless.
Step 3: Admire the work you have done. There is nothing more rewarding than going out on the town in an item that showcases your creativity and your inner fashionista.
